FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A new indoor play and learning facility is opening in Hastings, East Sussex.
Entrepreneur Anna Beck realised that there was a gap in the market for families looking for indoor fun locally. Many parents are disengaged with soft-play facilities and so she came up with the idea of Discovery Playground. Anna explains:
"I was struggling to find safe indoor places for us to visit where I could take my young children, somewhere that we could all enjoy. I often missed parent-toddler groups due to my baby's nap times. My toddler in particular loves pouring and digging, but it's so cold in the outdoor play areas during the winter and also difficult to watch my two under 2-s at the same time. Discovery Playground will provide safe, indoor play options like digging, pouring, construction and art as well as a range of interactive walls and activities, housed in a safe and warm environment."
Anna has 4 children aging between 1-12 and was keen to offer something for the older children too. The concept is similar to an American Children's Museum, but on a smaller scale. The first floor of the beautiful Grade 2 listed building she will be leasing will offer a range of interactive ball shutes, magnetic walls, lego walls as well as alternating science and art activities. There really is something for everyone here. She has plans to expand the business in years to come. She states "We're starting small, but aiming big!"
Discovery Playground will be open 10-5pm 7 days a week. As well as discounted pre-school sessions, they will offer after-school clubs, and be available for party bookings and school trips.
An indoor educational playground in the heart of Hastings Old Town, aimed at 0-11 year-olds and their families.
