Coventry Business Coach wins National Award as Client builds Dream Home
Competing nationally against 180 other coaches, Coventry business coach, David Lee has won the National Best Business Coach Award, based on client voting. Sponsored by ActionCOACH, the awards looked to showcase the best coaches benchmarked against the business growth of their clients.
Whilst coaching for less than three years, David Lee was singled out for his work with Coventry and Warwickshire businesses.
Client Mark Brazier, Chief Executive of metal production company PAB Coventry, praised David for his help in growing his family business, whilst freeing up time to fulfill a lifelong dream of building his own house. “David has helped our family business increase turnover from £4.9million to £8million and grow the team from 60-90 staff whilst I’ve been free to build my dream home - all in just 18 months,” he says.
Claiming that good coaching is as much about the business as the coach, David Lee focuses on the willingness of a business owner to listen and learn.
“I select the clients I work with on attitude rather than company size or sector. If a business owner is open to learning how to understand their business better and willing to follow a path of personal and professional development, we can work wonders together. It’s through being straightforward with my clients that they realise that business owners have been making some of the same mistakes for years and it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. What would be a shame is not taking action to address those mistakes - if you do, you can make a better life for yourself, your family and the people who work for you,” he says.

Seeing his efforts recognised is an added bonus. In collecting the award he commented, “Winning this award is the icing on the cake for me. I am absolutely elated”.
