Children’s Creative Community Club receives support from the Tennis Foundation

Children in South London can benefit from tennis lessons, thanks to support from the Tennis Foundation.

The Children’s Creative Community (CCC) Club, received tennis equipment donated by the Tennis Foundation in order to engage more children in the sport.

Kate Faragher, Co-Director of BeBright Projects which supports the group, said: “We hope, with the Tennis Foundations help, to inspire the next generation of tennis players to follow in the footsteps of Andy Murray, Heather Watson and other British players.”

As part of the support, all staff at the CCC Club have been given innovative training in how to engage young people in tennis, including ways which don’t require a racket.

The club were also presented with five tickets for the recent Wimbledon Championships.

Above all, Kate and her team hope that the equipment and training helps the children to keep fit and healthy.

“We are encouraging our staff to use the amazing training of the Serves programme to find fun ways to engage children in the sport,” said Kate.
