Women make up the majority of sales for Belgian Beer Company Belgibeer according to their latest figures.

Belgian Beer company Belgibeer, which helps connect craft beers with beverage enthusiasts, has confirmed that 70% of its clients are women.

Almost three quarters of sales for Belgibeer’s main product, the beerbox, are from women, and CEO Dario Ceccarelli, puts the majority of these sales down to gift giving.

He said: “It is often presumed that most of our customers would be men.

“However, when looking at the statistics most of Belgibeer’s customers over the years have been women who buy beerboxes as a gift.

“These account for more than 70 per cent of the sales.”

Belgibeer’s beerbox product is a box consisting of eight beers, a beer magazine, beer coasters and a number of other gifts.

The boxes can be bought as a one off purchase or there are options to choose subscriptions for three, six, or 12 months.

There are over 1,000 different Belgian beers to be discovered, and prices for the boxes start as low as €19.90, around £16.

Dario added: “A number of the smaller or lesser-known breweries often get overlooked by many, so Belgibeer is here to help these craft beers get more publicity.”
