Chamber to Hold First Engineering & Manufacturing Summit

Greater Manchester’s first ever Engineering & Manufacturing Summit takes place next month.
The summit, which is the very first of its kind in the north, is being organised by Greater Manchester Chamber.
The aim of the summit is to bring industry leaders together to discuss the major issues affecting the sector. There will be guest speakers, panel discussions and an exhibition space where over 100 individuals from the sector and supporting industries can meet.
Emma Parr, Regional Manager and Sector Lead at Greater Manchester Chamber, said: “The summit is the first of its kind and we want to make waves in the sector.. Greater Manchester Chamber has a network of over 700 businesses in the Engineering and Manufacturing sector and this is one of the key campaigns that the Chamber will be working on during 2018.”
A number of key themes will be explored during the summit including:
• Brexit, Barriers, Best Practice – international perspectives
• Trends, Tech, Transformation – industry 4.0 the next revolution?
• Brains not Brawn – the skills needed now and in the workplace of the future
