Havering College

Celebrating the Successes of our Students

19 October 2016 10:45

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On the 17th of October, Havering College rolled out the red carpet for their Further Education Awards evening.

The FE Awards are an annual event, created to recognise students who have shown outstanding effort and commitment to their courses. These prestigious awards took place at the Queens Theatre and were one of the best awards ceremonies to date.

In addition to the presentation of awards, the evening featured an exciting performance by the students from the music department and a motivational speech by guest of honour, James Ketchell. James is a man who has built up an impressive reputation for his courage, determination and sheer grit.

This Awards evening went superbly well and was a night to remember with over 70 awards given to some of the most hard working, high achieving students.

Havering College Principal Maria Thompson said:

"The Further Education Awards evening is a significant event for the College. It's an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the success of our students, some of whom have overcome very challenging circumstances to get where they are today. This really was their moment to shine and I hope they are all very proud of themselves – I know Havering College is"
