Capital Enterprise to launch project fostering innovation and knowledge in AI SMEs
Capital Enterprise, a membership body dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs in London, is excited to be launching their new ERDF project CAP-AI, which will support Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning SMEs.
The launch event will be held tomorrow, Tuesday 21st November, from 6pm-9pm at the Digital Catapult Centre in London.
The event will feature a fireside discussion on the CAP-AI project led by Capital Enterprise and their Delivery Partners, a keynote speech by Marc Warner, CEO of ASI Data Science, and a panel discussion around AI.
Lizzy Robins, CAP-AI Project Manager at Capital Enterprise, said: “We are delighted to launch this new project. With technology moving at such a fast pace we want to support London-based SMEs as much as possible and help cement London’s position as a centre for excellence in technological advances around Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning".
CAP-AI is London’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabling programme focused on stimulating growth in London’s AI cluster. Supporting over 100 of London’s leading AI SMEs, the project is designed to give them access to the technical expertise, data and computation power, knowledge and innovation they need to survive and grow.
The objective is to help them obtain the latest research, best talent and resources. The project will provide summer Innovation Interns and co-fund PhD and post-doctorates from the UK’s leading universities to work on agreed research and development projects within these companies.
CAP-AI is part-funded through the European Regional Development Fund, led by Capital Enterprise and working together with their delivery partners Barts NHS Health Trust and Digital Catapult, as well as strategic partners The Alan Turing Institute and Tech City UK.
