Bumper year for MADE Fringe events
The main event MADE for Success takes place on Thursday 25 September at Sheffield City Hall with an inspirational line up of speakers including Michelle Mone, Levi Roots, Doug Richard, Wayne Hemingway, Jamal Edwards and many more.
Bestselling author and world class self-improvement expert Paul McKenna is also set to open the festival on Wednesday 24 September with a special show (again at Sheffield City Hall) designed to refresh your business mentality to achieve greater success.
If this wasn’t enough, the festival’s Fringe offering has seen a huge uptake this year with over 40 events, most of which are free to attend. From taking first steps to crowdfunding, Bitcoins and Doing Business in China, the MADE Fringe event programme covers a wide variety of entrepreneurial topics and offers a multitude of networking opportunities for festival goers.
The Fringe programme kicks off on Monday 22 September with the Sheffield Inspiring Entrepreneurs Screening, which links up to an exciting national event being run by the British Library in partnership with the Business & IP Centre National Network and Barclays.
MADE has teamed up with literary festival Off The Shelf to present academic Andrew M. Green on Tuesday 23 September at The Workstation, who will be talking about his new book In the Chair, a comprehensive guide to becoming a successful leader.
Wednesday 24 September is the certainly the busiest day of the Fringe programme with 18 separate events taking place at various venues across the city. In particular, The University of Sheffield’s Enterprise Team will be taking over the Great Gatsby on Division Street to transform it into The Entrepreneur’s Pub. The Pub will be the social chill out lounge of the Festival, offering a day-long schedule of events providing access to a variety of local experts and entrepreneurs.
On Thursday, Irwin Mitchell present a special breakfast debate to generate discussions on alternative funding for growing companies which will get you warmed up before the main events take off at Sheffield City Hall and on Friday, MADE’s Headline Sponsors Sage One host an event aimed at anyone thinking or in the early stages of setting up their business, which features the UK’s No.1 motivational speaker Brad Burton and takes place at Electric Works.
