While tea and coffee have gone crazy with innovation over the last 10 years the big players in hot chocolate have done little or nothing to excite hot chocolate lovers ( sticking your confectionery brand on your hot chocolate is hardly rocket science).
300 odd years ago Sir Hans Sloane brought his Milk Drinking Chocolate recipe to London and had King George drinking it every morning at Hampton Court Palace. Today Sloane's of London are using Chocolate Week commencing 15/10/18 to launch their new exciting posh hot chocolate range.
Already the innovators in the restaurant/coffee shop world have launched the idea of a hot chocolate menu . Hans Bar and Grill ( named after Sir Hans Sloane and situated near Sloane Square) and Heston Blummenthal's Perfectionists Café have started a revolution for hot chocolate lovers by offering more than just 1 drink. Hans Bar and Grill have a Sir Hans Sloane Hot Chocolate menu including a Dark with Turmeric and a Dark with Avocado ( by the way Sir Hans brought the word Avocado to London ). The Perfectionists Café have added Sloane's Pumpkin Spice to their menu alongside Sloane's Rich Dark .
Sloane's will be launching this new range at the Caffe Culture show on the 16th-17th October.
