Award-winning performance consultancy opens Leeds office

An award-winning performance consultancy which operates in the City of London, Europe and the US has opened an office in Leeds.

Tougher Minds, which delivers practical, effective and highly engaging training to help people improve resilience, well-being and personal performance, was created by Yorkshire-born Dr Jon Finn. The consultancy has reached over 10,000 people with its programmes during the last decade. It has identified Leeds, with its vibrant business community and rapidly growing tech sector, as an area it wishes to offer its services to.

Tougher Minds’ current clients include national and international businesses, major banks, professional services firms and companies with a large¬ global salesforce. In the education sector, it works with leading independent schools, Universities and offers well-being and resilience programmes for families. Their training can be applied to all aspects of business, education and life.

To mark the opening of the new office within Leeds Digital Hub, Tougher Minds is staging a free event on Thursday June 21st from 6.15pm, which will present insights into well-being, employee engagement and developing an effective team in business.

During the “How to create powerful teams” event, the consultancy will also make a presentation about their ‘Team Power’ training. The event, for leaders and future leaders within business and education, will also include a Q and A session with a panel of performance consultants. It takes place in the Parkinson Suite of No1 Leeds.

Dr Jon Finn, Tougher Minds’ founder, said:

Finn, who completed his doctorate at Leeds Beckett University, added:

Tougher Minds’ programmes use the latest neuroscience insights and have been recognised for their effectiveness. This includes the Independent School Association’s Education Initiative of the Year award. The consultancy has also advised the Department of Education, and think-tank DEMOS on developing resilience in young people. The Tougher Minds team has also produced performance guides for national newspapers.
