A number of shortlisted companies have commented on being made finalists for the Cyber Security Awards. Comments are below.

The Cyber Security Awards has 10 expert judges, who represent a broad spectrum of different backgrounds and organisations with the cyber industry. Their scores and debate will determine the 2016 Cyber Security Awards winners. The winners will be announced and celebrated during the awards dinner and presentation on June 23rd 2016 at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel. The ceremony will be attended by the finalists, industry leaders, judges and sponsors.

MetaCompliance have earned the Innovative Product of the Year finalist status at the Cyber Security Awards for their Cyber Security and Compliance Awareness Solution Voyager. Metacompliance CEO, Robert O'Brien, commented: "We are delighted with this nomination, our cloud based Voyager product is the first system of its kind to combine all the key functionality and workflows needed, from policy to incident management. To be shortlisted for this award represents a further endorsement of the investment and approach we are taking to integrated user awareness management.”

APMG International, an award winning company with a broad portfolio of world-class cyber security products, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Innovative Product Category at this year’s 2016 Cyber Security Awards. APMG International’s CEO Richard Pharro said, “We are very pleased to be nominated as a finalist. We live in an age where Cyber-criminals continuously evolve and adapt their methods of bypassing cyber-security controls. For organizations to stay safe they need to be similarly adaptive – this is where CDCAT comes in.”

Huntsman Analyst Portal has been honoured as a finalist of the Innovative Product of the Year for the 2016 Cyber Security Awards. Huntsman Security CEO, Peter Woollacott said “It is great to be recognised as a shortlisted finalist as innovators in an industry that is so fast moving and dynamic anyway. We know our customers value the advanced security analytic and automated threat management capabilities our Analyst Portal solution provides, and it is nice to gain wider industry acknowledgement of that too.”

Skybox Security Honored as Finalist for Best Security Company of the Year in the 2016 Cyber Security Awards. Skybox is also shortlisted for Innovative Product of the Year and Vulnerability Management Product of the Year. “Being a finalist in three separate categories validates the overall effectiveness of our platform in solving the varied challenges security teams face when it comes to managing an enterprise security program from end-to-end,” said Justin Coker, vice president of EMEA for Skybox Security. “Skybox Horizon and Vulnerability Control — part of the larger Skybox® Security Suite — demonstrate how closely we tie product development to customer needs. In this case, the need for solutions that give insight into the attack surface and the ability to quickly prioritize within the context of an enterprise’s network and business critical assets.”

Positive Technologies are honoured to announce our selection as a finalist in two categories of the 2016 Cyber Security Awards with our product PT SS7 Attack Discovery™ in the Innovative product of the year – Threat Detection category and MaxPatrol™ in the Vulnerability Management product of the year category. Dan Tara, EVP Business Development at Positive Technologies, added, “Being a finalist in these awards in this ultra-competitive sector confirms the unique value that Positive Technologies brings to the practical security space. We are particularly delighted to be recognised in the Innovative product category as we are a company driven to not just let our products evolve over time but to hit the market with a product that is light years away from any competition in terms of its technology and how it addresses customer issues.”

For the second year running, ZeroDayLab, the European IT Security Consultancy, has been nominated for one of the top awards at the Cyber Security Awards. The security company was honoured as a finalist in the Consulting Practice of the Year category following shortlisting by a panel of 10 expert judges from across the cyber industry. ZeroDayLab’s Managing Director, Kevin Roberts commented; “We are absolutely delighted to be finalists for Best Consulting Practice for the Cyber Security Awards 2016. This is the second year running we have been nominated and this achievement is down to the hard work and dedication of our team. As a consulting company, we are passionate about the need to not only deliver individual projects to an excellent standard, but ideally becoming a key, strategic Security Partner of choice to each of our clients to ensure they are achieving Continuous Security Improvement at all levels due to the rich portfolio of services and solutions we have to offer.”

We are excited that our Flowmon ADS has been shortlisted for the Innovative Product category for the 2016 Cyber Security Awards. “The importance of network-layer security grows in time. When the threats are more and more sophisticated, traditional security solutions do not deliver sufficient level of security. Flowmon ADS fills the gaps left by other protection tools and helps security engineers to keep business wealth safe,” says Peter Springl, Director of Product and Strategic Alliances at Flowmon Networks.

If being involved in the world of cybersecurity wasn’t reward enough, we today learnt that Agenci and our product ‘Cyber Recovery’, which was developed with our partners Lorega, has been short listed in two categories at the prestigious ‘Cyber Security Awards 2016’ which take place in London in June. To be nominated as a finalist is a great achievement. ‘Personality of the year’ I believe simply means someone who can demonstrate they love what they do, and are free to show it. Whilst it may sound like an individual award, it couldn’t be possible for me to speak at events, schools, parties and bah mitzvah’s without the Agenci team supporting me. So for me, it’s a team effort.
As for the ‘Insurance Product of the Year’, I again feel this is a team effort, but not only the Agenci team but also those in Lorega. We’re all very passionate about this product because it has the SME at the heart of the product. We wanted to create something which the SME could afford, understand and use. So on behalf of Lorega and Agenci, thank you for this nomination…

Surevine are very excited to announce that we have have earned the “Most Innovative Product” finalist status at the Cyber Security Awards for Threatvine! Used by CERT-UK to power CiSP, Threatvine is the UK’s national platform for cyber security information sharing, and the value of this collaboration has been widely recognised by industry and Government, both here in the UK and across the world.

About Tatius Group

The Cyber Security Awards were established in 2014, to reward the best individuals, teams and companies within the cyber security industry. Excellence and innovation are core themes, throughout all categories.

A totally independent event, we have no affiliation to any magazines, organisations, or products. As a result, our judges are able to make all their decisions on merit alone.

The Cyber Security Awards team, reviews the industry, looking for the best possible applicants. We encourage all those, who are committed to progressing the industry, to apply. Our judges come from varied backgrounds, and are some of the most well regarded individuals within the industry. They will review all applications, deciding winners collectively at a judging day, held shortly before the event. Where required, further information may be requested to demonstrate any claims made in the application forms and references will be followed up.

Winners are announced at a black-tie awards ceremony, held this year on June 23rd at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel. The event is an exciting and fun evening as we find out who has the honour of being declared the winner! This year, all attendees will be able to vote on the night to decide the winner of the Best Security Company category. This is sure to add some extra tension and excitement to the evening.
