It might not be the first course you would consider studying but with advanced practical skills to be learnt and excellent job prospects, it’s certainly one to think about!

The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) Level 2 Award in Pest Management is an industry standard recognised qualification. It equips all students with a range of qualifications and necessary skills to start a career as a Pest Control Technician.

Students will gain a great understanding of the biology of rodents and insects. They will examine, analyse and investigate clues in a variety of environments, as well as be able to demonstrate they are adequately trained and competent to use and purchase professional grade products and equipment.

Course also includes:
An introduction to the facilities industry
The principle of safe handling and application of pesticides
Planning, supervising and managing work at height
Health and safety
Risk assessment
Maths and English functional skills or GCSE’s in these subjects if required.
30 hours work experience with a Pest Control company.

Entry requirements:
To study Pest Management RSPH Level 2 Awards students must have a positive attitude to learning and be prepared to work hard to achieve the qualifications. A good grasp of English and Maths is essential and an interest in science based subjects will be an advantage.

This course is open to all ages, from those aged 16-18 looking to further their education as well as adults looking for a career change.
