FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A cake designer from London was recently commissioned to make Usain Bolt’s 30th birthday cake.
Elaine Rhule, Director of Designer Cakes of London, received the order shortly after the athlete arrived back from the Rio Olympics.
Elaine, who has over 20 years of experience in the industry, said: “Initially I received a few missed calls, and when I did finally speak to someone on the phone I was asked to create a cake for Usain’s 30th birthday party in London.
“I actually thought it was a joke at first. Only when the fee was paid did it become real. As a cake designer I’ve always wanted to create the best cakes, so I was thrilled when I was asked. I always like to create impressive designs, but Usain’s team told me to keep the design very simple.”
Elaine was even invited in to meet Usain, who just days earlier had become triple Olympic champion for the third games in a row.
The Jamaican sprinter had been celebrating his Rio success, as well as his birthday, in a number of London clubs after his return from the Olympics, and it is believed this party was a part of those celebrations.
Elaine added: “He is a such a lovely guy and he said the cake tasted great. I’m so happy he liked it. We even have a video of him cutting it.”
Every product created by Designer Cakes of London is freshly baked to a high standard, ensuring that each cake is unique and tailored to your order.
The company creates a wide selection of cakes, including wedding cakes and children’s cakes, and offers a number of different flavours and fillings.
Director Elaine said: “We want to ensure that you enjoy the process of choosing your cake, from the initial design to the end product, and we strive to create the most impressive designs possible.”
