Four of The Best Blogs Supporting Small Business Owners

Are you looking for information regarding entrepreneurship and top tips to grow your small business? Have a look at this list of four of the best blogs supporting small business owners.

Whether you are about to start up a small business or are in business already, there will be a point at which you need to ask for advice. We are always learning, and while most people simply Google their question to find an answer, small business blogs provide many of the solutions that you will need.

If you have a problem or question, it’s likely that another small business has grappled with the same issue, so if you know where to look you can find a solution to your problem, faster. So where do you go to find these answers?

Here is a list of the four best blogs supporting small business owners.

1)  The Donut:

Atom Content Marketing runs a series of websites all under ‘Donut’ branding, which gives free content to small businesses in a number of different sectors.

For example, if you’re looking to start your own business, the Start Up Donut will provide you with a number of tips and tricks to help you when you’re at the early stages and looking at whether to set up as a sole trade or a limited company.

If your business is more developed you might want to take a look at the Law Donut, which, among other things, provides helpful articles related to employment laws.

If you’re looking for PR support they also have a section on their Marketing Donut site, where you can find out quick tips and tricks for writing a press release as well as other small business PR support.

2)  Startups.co.uk

It might be obvious, but startups.co.uk is a site that does exactly what it says- caters for start-ups.

Their blog has a mix of business news and thoughts from business owners, and there is a forum where small business owners can post questions to, and share thoughts with, other business owners.

If you subscribe to their email list, you can receive helpful pieces of content and some special offers as well. It is worth it if you are looking for tips and tools to grow your business.

3)  Smallbusiness.co.uk

Like startups.co.uk, smallbusiness.co.uk does what is says.

This website also has a blog section, but also provides advice for small businesses at each stage of their growth.

If you’re just starting out they provide a series of posts and articles that give you some pointers. Likewise, if you’re already running your business they provide thoughts on how to expand further.

Like with startups.co.uk, they also provide small businesses with the opportunity to ask questions to their peers. You just need a login to get started.

4) realbusiness.co.uk

While most see Real Business as a source for news for small businesses, they are actually so much more.

They provide a range of different content, so whatever the stage of your business there should be something for you. One, for example, is business growth, which combines the news with key pieces of advice.

They do also have an advice and guides section, and if you just want to know what’s going on in the news you can take a look at their news or current affairs sections.

Running a small business is tough. Many people start up on their own, so it’s good to have a reliable source of advice you can fall back on. These four sites provide support so that you’re not left feeling alone. It’s likely that the problem you have in your small business has been looked at by at least one of these sites, so why don’t you take 5 minutes to have a look. You might be surprised at what you find.
